Shutters in Battersea
Battersea is Victorian terraces around the parks and Northcote Road, with a wall of new glass along the river at Nine Elms.

The streets between Clapham Common and Battersea Park are almost uniformly late Victorian, and they set the template: a splayed or square bay to the front reception, a tall sash above, and a narrow half landing window on the return. The bay is the piece that decides how the whole front of the house looks, and it is worth taking the extra survey time to get the corner posts and the angle exactly right.
Around Northcote Road, Shaftesbury Park and the Park Town estate there are protected frontages where the external appearance is controlled, so anything fitted has to work from the inside. Shutters do that, and the practical decision is usually between full height for a clean line and tier on tier where the pavement is close and the room is used in the evening.
Along the river at Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station the stock is entirely different: floor to ceiling glass, structural mullions, sliding doors onto balconies and, on higher floors, no privacy issue at all but a serious glare and heat one. Those apartments are usually better served by a wide louvre shutter or a fabric system sized to the individual pane rather than the whole wall.
Every job starts with a home consultation, and nothing is ordered until a full technical survey has been done and the price is confirmed. Installation is by our trusted team, and every shutter is backed by our ten-year guarantee.
